Tell us about your role

As Lead developer I’m responsible for the maintaining and ongoing development of the Conscious software platform upon which the majority of our client websites run.

I’ve developed many of the tools that our legal sector clients are able to use within their websites to connect with prospective and existing clients, such as the Conveyancing Calculator, Billpay tools and Form2Mail.

What’s your favourite Conscious value and why?

It’s difficult to pinpoint one core value that resonates most with my role, but if pushed, I would opt for inquisitiveness, as with this at the heart of software development, it means that any system we design should amply meet the needs of our clients. It helps us to get to the core of any problem our clients are trying to solve.

Tell us about your life outside of Conscious

Outside office life, I have many interests to keep me out of trouble. I like to travel whenever I can, and whilst happy to just sit on a beach, I’m always keen to soak up the culture of any place I visit. So far, with Lucy, my wife, we’ve covered 13% of the world's countries (and counting!) A highlight was obviously getting married above Las Vegas, in a helicopter!

I’m also fairly creative and love to pick up a pencil or paintbrush whenever I have time and take the odd course in new styles of art, such as printmaking.

Most recently I have taught myself guitar, starting with acoustic and progressing to electric, a dangerous hobby to take up as you can never have too many guitars!
