Now we have all seen (or should have seen) and harnessed the power of Google Adwords marketing and use it as one of the most effective ways of implementing Search Engine Marketing (SEM) to drive traffic to your website.
Hopefully you have also seen an increase in the number of calls from the website through using this avenue, along with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and thus having a decent source of online lead generation. But could you tell which is more effective? Natural SEO or Google PPC? Which generated the most calls?
A well known firm in the north of England has linked their Google Adwords ads to click through to a particular practice area on their website and by using 'dynamic numbering', they display a different number on that page depending on whether the visitor came from Google Adwords or from a natural search on Google i.e. a click from the "natural listings". This allows them to successfully track exactly how many calls are coming through the website from the exact number from the Google PPC ad.
Now that's what I call efficient, cost-effective online marketing!
