I still get skeptics tell me that social media for law firms "does not work". So I thought it was about time I found at least one incontravertible truth to justify my comments.
The image below is taken from Google Analytics for one of our clients. This client has been very active with social media, and with Twitter in perspective. This is a Custom Report showing visits per month, and applied to it is an Advanced Segment which filters just visits from LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook.
For those of you with poor eyes the number at the bottom is 1 visit in February 2009 and in August 2010 it's 58. Now, as an overall proportion of the total visits in a month, it's still quite small. But it still show the difference that can be made by making social media activity a consistent part of your marketing activity.
