A quick heads up to all owners of Google My Business profile listings: Google has added a new “Short Name” option in your “Info” tab and if left incomplete your formerly 100% complete listing is now an 85% complete listing. Incomplete listings do not perform as well in search and must always be completed to perform to full potential. This is an excellent opportunity to get ahead of your local competition who may not be aware of this new requirement.
Simply log in to your Google My Business account and click on “Info”
Then click on “Add short name”
We recommend choosing a short name made from your brand and location.
