...Help! Not just anybody....
Interesting piece in last week's Gazette regarding the Law Society spending £300,000 on a new marketing offensive to promote high street firms.
It's an admirable attempt by the Law Society to "big up" local law firms, but £300,000 is a drop in the ocean on the national level and compared to the amount that a major national brand would spend if it was serious about about taking on the legal sector.
Also, I noticed that the advert is tagged "your solicitor", which I think would make as equally good a brand name as QualitySolicitors.com, Take Legal Advice, ContactLaw, The Legal Alliance etc etc. So do the Law Society have a master plan? If they owned www.yoursolicitor.co.uk then perhaps they do. But they don't, it's owned by someone called Composite Assistance who seem to own loads of other accident related domain names as well, so it's pretty clear what they do!
Another opportunity missed by Chancery Lane?
