Last night I attended the Legal Futures: New BUsiness Models for the Bar seminar held in Hatton Gardens, London. The speakers were :-
- Adam Shutkever, Chief Operating Office, Riverview Law - @RiverviewLaw
- Jonathan Rose, Partner, Artesian Law - @ArtesianLaw
- Christine Kings, Outer Temple Chambers - @outertemple
- Christopher Perry, Principia Law - @PrincipiaLaw
- Hatti Suvari, Director, Red Bar Law - @redbarlaw
- Paul Richmond, Head, Richmond Chambers @7HenriettaSt
and were then joined by the following as panellists :-
- Maura McGowan QC, Chairman, Bar Council - @MauraMcGowanQC
- Ewen Macleod, Head of Professional Practice, Bar Standards Board - @BarStandards
I enjoyed much of the presentation and discussion even though a lot of it was just "this is the way we run our business". Christine Kings was particularly good and that's probably why I have more notes in my mindmap from her talk than others.
Adam, I apologise, I was a bit late turning up so missed most of yours.
The "most agitated" award goes to Hatti Suvari.
The "most measured" award goes to Maura McGowan, who I never got to meet properly was extremely "balanced" in just about everything she said, all of which was pretty insightful.
If you missed all the tweets from me, @JezHop, @JonathanMaskew and @BruceWebster then you can see them all here at #LFBAR -
Feel free to download my mindmap of the evening. Made as ever with the excellent Xmind (http://www.xmind.net).
