For the past two years we have featured a Christmas game on the website developed by Big Bang Creative,  2013 was no exception, to continue with the yule-tide fun we featured a game with a bit of a Conscious twist.

Those of you that played the game will have noticed a very cheerful looking face pop up intermittently in the snowball throwing range alongside Santa and his Reindeer, that face was none other than my boss David Gilroy.

As with previous years the game was a great success, helping to attract a number of visitors to the website and above all providing some light-hearted entertainment over the festive season. In total the game was:-

  • played 379 times
  • with 165 scores deemed worthy enough by players to be posted to the leader board.

This year’s playing figures and average time on the game were down from last year, I have two theories that might help explain this:

Theory A) This year’s game was based on pure reactions unlike previous games which required more logic rather than cat–like reflexes. Perhaps the logic games are a bigger draw for our legal audience?

Theory B) People are just not in the spirit of Christmas anymore. Bah Humbug!

I’m pretty sure it’s Theory A and we will test that next year!

The internal champion of the game was my colleague Rich Dibbins who posted a respectable 3,587 points. The winning player was Graham Ford of LawNet who posted a whopping 77,349 points beating the second highest total by some 47,000 points, hats off to Graham a magnum of champagne is on its way to him.
