On Tuesday I spent the day at the Marriott Marble Arch at the APIL Business Conference. Any names that are hyperlinked below lead to that person’s LinkedIn profile in case you wanted to connect with them.
There we are a range of speakers besides myself talking about :-
- Planning for the future
- Funding
- Legal technology
- On the web: Online presence
- Staffing
- Service quality
- Marketing
- Customer service
I co-presented with Melissa Davis, MD Communications and we presented a general session on websites and how to improve their chances of converting visitors into solid leads. You can download the presentation (8.4MB PPT).
The conference was chaired by the eloquent John McQuater a Past APIL President and APIL EC Member and Partner at Atherton Godfrey.
From a speaker’s perspective I have to say that the conference was extremely well run by Klair Price and Marlene Lord.
There was a definite degree of optimisation amongst speakers & delegates alike, but then maybe there’s an element of “preaching to the converted”. Often it seems like the people who come to conferences like this usually have well run businesses and want to run them even better.
I captured some of the talks via mindmaps and the following are available to download.
- Planning for the future (PDF)
Cath Evans, Chief Operating Officer, Slater & Gordon Lawyers, London - Funding (PDF)
