I've only just got around the reading the page on the Legal Support Network website regarding the SRA ruling on the Capita/Optima ownership situation.
It makes quite interesting reading and definitely gives an insight into how ABSs might well be structured from October 2011. It talks about how the loan situation was not quite right, how senior directors were paid directly by Capita and even how the reporting from Optima to Capita was considered too onerous for a "normal business relationship".
So, what's going to happen next year? Is loads of external capital going to pile into the market? Are the banks going to make the same mistake they did with estate agencies and go round buying them up? Is someone going to try and repeat the "aggregate and float" model that Vantis and Tenon did in the accountancy sector?
It's going to be an interesting couple of years.
