So, you are probably thinking, “What do you mean by interactive tools?” These are features you can add to your law firm website to help improve conversion rate, capture client data, and make your life easier. Whether you are a team of one or a marketing team of twenty, there are tools that we can add to your website that can help you.

What are the benefits of a law firm website with excellent user experience?

By building a law firm website with your clients in mind, you will provide them with a better experience and help them find the information they want. This means they will be more satisfied with their visit to your website and, therefore, more likely to return and convert.

Some of the ways you can create a great user experience include:

  • Using headings and subheadings in your content
  • Using a navigation menu that makes it easier to look at pages on your website
  • Calls to action (CTAs) that make it easier for users to get in contact
  • Live chat that is accessible 24/7
  • Videos and graphics
  • Interactive elements

Here is a list of my four favourite interactive elements we can implement on your law firm’s website immediately to help you improve the user experience and offer a competitive edge.

Smart Forms

First up is our Smart Forms module. Do you spend hours data gathering over the phone or in person? We have made your lawyer's jobs easier by creating online forms that your clients can fill out about themselves instead. One of the great things about our Smart Forms, is that people can save them and come back to them later.

Of course, there is no substitute for expert advice from a lawyer, but in a world where people expect things to be dealt with online rather than in person, the need for data gathering online is more prominent. So, when you want to gather initial information about a matter, this is the perfect solution.

The functionality makes it ideal to get the forms you need in person or over the phone that contain sensitive or personal data online. Don’t worry, the forms are HTTPS, so your client and their data is 100% secure and protected, and the data is never emailed; it is accessed via the admin area of the website. These forms often have complex features like multiple pages, blocks, questions, and file uploads so adding them online makes it easier for your fee earners. We can also create them to fit your firm’s branding.

We have Smart Form modules for Family Law, Wills & Probate and LPAs. If you would like a demo, contact us at sales@conscious.co.uk, and one of the team will be happy to help.

Calculators

Secondly, why not add a legal calculator to your website? The GenZ generation would prefer to find out the cost before talking to anyone, and they often prefer to talk ‘digitally’ rather than over the phone or in person.

So, by adding a calculator to your website, you can meet all clients' needs and help bridge the generation gap law firm clients face. A conveyancing calculator allows users to get the price of conveyancing without even having to get in touch. All they need is simple details about their purchase or sale, and they can calculate their fees.

See an example here https://www.devonalds.co.uk/site/services-for-you/housing-and-property/conveyancing-quote/.

It’s not only conveyancing we have calculators for, but we also have a:

Intestacy Flow Chart

As you know, if a person dies without a will in place, it is known as intestacy – but this isn’t always common knowledge to your clients! So, we have created an interactive guide showing how assets will be divided depending on a user’s specific circumstances.

The user can answer yes or no without giving their personal details, and the flow chart will give you an answer depending on your selection.

Adding a flow chart to the website can help with a conversion rate of people enquiring about services for Wills, because what they see may shock them or it might help them to understand the information in a better way.

Have a look at the flowchart we created for our client, Frettens.

Online Payments

The final interactive tool for law firm websites is online payments. Getting online payments added to your website will improve your cash flow process. You will no longer have to take payments over the phone, in person or wait for a cheque to arrive, you can send clients straight to the online payment portal where they can easily pay you.

This is convenient and easy for the client; it also gives you that competitive edge. You can see online payments on our client, Henriques Griffiths website.

Overall, integrating interactive tools into your website can enhance the user experience, drive engagement, generate leads, and ultimately contribute to the success of your online presence.
